Over 10,000 Sold!

So last month we passed 10,000 sold on Laying Down the Rails for Children. Such an exciting unexpected experience that we happened down about 9 years ago. The first kit written was Delightful Reading and Baby Rails (as it was dubbed) has sold almost double what DR kits have sold. It was fun writing the Rails book. Lots of research and reading and finding poems and stories and Bible verses. It's probably been my favorite project. Sonya and Simply Charlotte Mason are amazing; I'm grateful to them for accepting my proposal all those years ago. They just keep putting out more and more helpful curriculum for Charlotte Mason homeschoolers.

Liz and I went to see Downtown Abbey at the movies. It was mostly a good little add-on to the show. And very enjoyable time with my daughter.

Some Pac-man before the movie.

And we met a homeschooling family at the park over the weekend. The little girl is named Linnea! She was adorable. She sang a song for us and invited us to her home anytime we happened to be near. :-) I gave her some of the Linnea flower stationary that Phillip gave me. The day before that we had some ladies over for a Homeschool Mom online retreat. It was a relaxing, fun time. The theme was Laughing Well, which is unusual for homeschoolers. I feel like we can be so serious and earnest with conference and retreat topics. Laughing Well was about relaxing, planning ahead, breaking tension, and sharing laughter. Schole Sisters podcast ~ another recommend, ladies!
